MSNBC news is reporting that an Army LTCOL family practice doc with 18 years of military service is to face court martial for refusing deployment and challenging the validity of the presidency:
Army doctor Lt. Col. Terry Lakin believes Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be president and commander-in-chief, because he believes (incorrectly) that Obama wasn't born in the United States.
Comment: Warfighters can express disagreement but at the end of the day they have to follow orders and get the mission done. Warfighting and politics don't mix. One wonders what factors and choices might have led to Lakin putting his career on the line in this manner. Given his years of service, is a little compassion warranted in this situation?
